Among the ruins of Embergard, the City of Ash, the clash of steel rings loud. Under the leadership of the daring Jorvan Kreel, hard-bitten Freeguild soldiers fight to secure supplies of magical emberstone – a vital resource in the war for the Mortal Realms. But the Shadows conceal danger – Skaven of the Clans Eshin, villainous ratmen who excel in assassination. With them comes the infamous Deathmaster Crixxit, who now has Kreel in his sights. The stage is set for a desperate clash in a dead city.
